Ideas Anonymous #2

So many fascinating conversations at Ideas Anonymous #2 last night. It always really excites me to listen to all of the different perspectives. There was six of us which allowed really in depth discussions. Here are my notes. Here are some of the ideas we explored:

  • A podcasting network focussing on people from diverse backgrounds
  • A tool to build your own home battery storage bank out of recycled batteries
  • A dam to block of port Philip Bay to protect the city from rising seawater levels while working as hydropower plant
  • A policy to enforce a minimum 5 years warranty on electronic goods
  • Immersive experiences to enable privileged people to understand people’s suffering in other countries
  • A creative production company to put people in their dream world.
  • A decentralised library of everything.
  • A video interview series to share people’s diverse backgrounds.

3 movies came up in conversations: Annihilation, The Game, In my Blood in runs

There were two plugs: Amruta’s Heckin’ Concerned Podcast and Warren’s Break Fest #6

My favourite quote of the night was: “You never know, if you don’t ask”
